Yash SInha - Week 11 - The Power of Friendship
The Power of Friendship
Friends are the best. Especially good friends because they can do amazing things. They can turn any sad situation into a good one, they are always there to help you, and they always make you feel like you belong. I am so grateful for each and every one of my friends as they completely changed my life.
I mean just imagine where you would be if you never met that one person that you tell everything to, or the person that encouraged you to try something new. You get the point, friendship is one of the most powerful things on Earth. Sometimes they can have their downsides, like maybe causing you to make a huge mistake, but overall, they truly are one of the best things you could ever have. Just look at Spongebob and Patrick, or Phineas and Ferb, or even the Golden Trio from Harry Potter, now imagine those shows if they never met each other.
I have had many rough experiences that I don’t know how I would have got through if I did not have my friends to keep my head up. I am extremely proud to become who I am now and I owe a great deal of that to my friends who have helped me through thick and thin. I am also always looking forward to making new friends because I believe that you can never have too many, so come talk to me whenever and hopefully we can become friends. Thank you very much for considering it and reading my blog.

Hi, Yash! Your topic this week was an age-old classic, but one that can never be stressed enough. As social creatures by nature, it is so human for us to want to build connections with each other and have to rely on our friends as things are thrown at us. I completely agree that being with friends “can turn any sad situation into a good one”; there are many times when I come out of class feeling stressed, but just a thirty minute lunch period where I can laugh with my friends completely transforms my mood, energizing me for the rest of the day. Hanging out with my friends truly does give me a sense of purpose and belonging because I am always reminded that there are people out there who will stick around and support me through everything. That to me definitely feels like it could be “life-changing.” Without such connections, it would be incredibly easy to feel isolated and alone, when in truth, there are always many people in life going through similar tough situations. I appreciate how you cited many incidents in television where friendships become so iconic that you always expect to see one person by the other’s side. Having a good support network clearly played a factor in all these characters’ successes—a rough patch seems to be ten times tougher when there is no one around to share your pain with. I am glad that you have always had friends to turn to “through thick and thin!” Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Yash! I really enjoyed your take on friendship and its great effect on us. I wold have to agree that friendship is one of the most powerful things that humans have at their disposable, and I would be nowhere today if it were not for my friends. I appreciated the way you pointed out some of the strongest friendships that we see in media, showing that such relationships are never really as unrealistic as they might seem at first. This was a really fun blog to read, and I wish you luck with your future friendships as well!
